Going Down Memory Lane

I am going to begin a trip down memory lane.
I am going to dedicate this meme/hop to my Daddy, Grandma Hall, Grandpa Hall and everyone that has touched my life and have given me some very wonderful memories.
I am going to go thru my photos and which ever photo jumps at me each week is going to be my subject for Going Down Memory Lane. I am going to make this a blog hop so everyone can join me and do some memory walking too. You will be able to get the link up below and also get the code if you would like to add it to your post.
The only rule I have is find a photo and tell about the memories that photo brings you. I hope everyone enjoys Going Down Memory Lane. These photos do not have to be of someone that has passed. They can be any photo that brings you happy memories.

The photo I am going to begin my journey with is the day I got married. My Grandpa Hall was a Pentecostal Minister and he married Rod and I. I will never forget the day I call my grandparents and told tell I was having a baby and Rod and I planned to get married. I was terrified. I was so scare they would be so saddened and disappointed in me. But to my surprise Grandpa told me that he and grandma also got pregnant before they were married and that she was only 16. I was 15. A very wise man, Grandpa Hall, once told me God has a plan and everything happens for a reason. Grandpa agreed to marry us and so on May 8, 1982 we were married. Thank you Grandpa for understanding and marrying Rod and I. We didn't have an elaborate wedding but it was special because my grandpa performed the ceremony. Rod and I were going to renew our vows after ten years but grandpa passed before then so since he wouldn't be the one to renew our vows with us we decided not to. Here's to happy memories. Thank you Grandpa.

  2. So great that they were understanding. You couldn't have been more than 16. I was lucky I could cross the street or tie my shoes successfully when I was 16. 28 years. Pretty amazing.
