I took a bunch of pictures this weekend. I am going to break them up into parts. Friday night at camp we had several guest over for the BIG firework display and a cookout.
The boys couldn't wait til dark to start doing the sparklers so Rod let them do a couple ahead of time. It's all about having fun and that's what the boys did.
One of the activities for the weekend was to decorate your camp site. Rod and I take pride in our camp site and enjoy decking our site out for the various holidays so this activity is one we join in every time. The best decorated site wins $25, we didn't win, but we don't do it for the money we do it for fun.
Friday night from 3-6pm my sister and I were at the front gate collecting donations for the fireworks. I had to dress the part. I was pretty much red, white and blue from my head to my toes. Everyone thought I was nuts but hey I think I was looking rather 4th of July like. Oh wait, I am a little nutty. I enjoy having fun and making others laugh and have a good time.
Finally it got dark and the fireworks were fabulous. Jason played patriotic music for everyone to listen to while the fireworks lit up the sky. This was the 4th Annual Whispering Oaks/ Gene Smith Memorial Fireworks Show. After the big firework display the kiddos got to do some sparklers.
