Wordful Wednesday~~Little Man Turns 6

Little man turned 6 on July 14th but we had his party on Sunday the 18th. We rented the north shelter at camp for the event. Between family, campground buddies, one little girl from his school and a daycare boy, he probably had 50 or 60 guest all together. Little man is quite spoiled. It's easy to do when he is the only one at home.
We decorated with a puppy theme, he is really into puppies right now.
I made the centerpieces out of stuffed puppies and balloons. It was really sweet as I made these early Sunday morning at our camper and when he woke up the first thing he said was "Thank you, mama for using puppies to hold down my balloons." For some crazy reason I didn't get many pictures of the decorations but the shelter was decked out for the occasion.

We had lots of food. Hubby made hot dogs, cheeseburgers, hamburgers, potatoes and I made baked beans. Then each guest brought a covered dish.

Hubby's potatoes. I didn't manage to get any this time. They went fast like lighting.

You can see my baked beans in the back. Every time we go to a dinner my beans are requested. I am gonna share my secret recipe with you.
First brown some sausage and onion, then add your pork-n-beans, season with bar-b-q sauce, ketcup, mustard and lots of brown sugar. Yummy!!! They are really easy to make.

I didn't get photos of all the food.

My brother-in-law, Jason played the music.

Thank you Jason!!!!

Little man wanted the bounce house with a slide for his party.

We rented the bounce house from Bounce Unlimited in Quincy (217-224-JUMP).

Ozzy, Logan and Alec posing nice for the camera.

Adam, my nephew.

Madelyn, my grand baby. She is a camera ham.

Alec, our grandson. I think that is Faythe behind him.

Even a few of us adults(Adults is questionable) had to get in the jump house. We couldn't help ourselves. It was a blast.

We even tried out the slide. Julie and Dalton were first.

Then down came, Ranee. She is a hoot! Fun is her motto!

Then it was my turn.

Ozzy

Earlier in the day little man wanted me to jump with him.

Ozzy, Me and Courtney (one of our campground buddies).
I would also like to thank Courtney, Sue and Chris for all the help they gave us. From decorating, lending us another grill and clean-up. Thanks guys!!!!

Ozzy wanted a picture of he and I at the entrance of the stairs up to the slide, what he doesn't know is I was glad to sit for a minute. This ole' lady wasn't made for jumping in a jump house. My legs were wore out quick.

Everyone had fun in the jump house. It was kinda scary at one point as for some reason the power went out and the jump house deflated very rapidly. Yes, there were kiddos inside. Our granddaughter Faythe was at the top of the slide when it came down but my nephew Logan without even a thought jump right in and got her. (Logan you are too cool, thankxxxx!) The electric came back on and the kiddos went right back to jumping.

Everyone also went swimming

Lanae and baby Zoe enjoying the baby pool. Faythe in the floaty and Gia.

Donnie and Gia lounging in the baby pool.

Tyler, Ashley and Faythe.

Everyone else enjoyed the big pool, but there are no photos. Oops!

We played a couple of games. Guess how many???

Courtney won the starburst.

Marcus (one of our daycare boys) won the skittles.

Adam won the gummy bears.

Ozzy had a puppy pinate' but I didn't even fill it because he didn't want to break it. I kinda wasted my money there. I bought the blindfold and stick too. But the blindfold got used as mom made "Feed the Doggy a Bone" played like pin the tail on the donkey.

All the kiddos took a turn.

Terra also wanted a turn. It looks like by now she would run from these type of games. I twirled her around and lead her straight out of the shelter house. (Love you, sis).

Little man got a great amount of gifts. Thanks everyone.

We got him a E100 Razor Electric Scooter, upon his request.

Instead of serving cake we served cupcakes. They are alot easier to serve. Jason played Happy Birthday and everyone sung to Ozzy.

You can't really tell what is on the cupcakes via the photo, but it was puppy paw prints.
We displayed the cupcakes on Wilton's 38 ct dessert stand. Keep an eye out as I get to do a review and giveaway for one of these.

Everyone had a great day. Little man said he had a great birthday.
